The KPFF Chicago office was established in 2011 by five civil and structural engineer consultants supporting a practice focused on inspection, evaluation, repair, and rehabilitation of bridges, highways, airports, transit facilities, and other infrastructure. These consultants’ value to clients is distinguished by experience in testing and measuring material performance in severe or corrosive environments, nondestructive evaluation, failure analysis, structural load testing, and service life evaluation/extension.
To support the groups heavy civil and structural expertise, civil engineering services including storm water management, Low Impact Development, erosion control and green street design are provided.
The group’s unique accumulation of skills attracts nationwide projects and clients. Helping clients succeed is what we do best, as a means for developing and sustaining a growing and successful professional organization in this region.

We are continually seeking exceptional individuals who are attracted to our philosophy and work environment.
Our mission includes a commitment to consistent, prudent growth, while maintaining a leadership role in the practice of consulting engineering. In order to accomplish this, we attract and retain highly skilled, talented and motivated people.

KPFF’s Chicago office is located in an independent Illinois municipality named Evanston, which is home to Northwestern University. Evanston’s population is 75,000; the community, founded in 1863, border Lake Michigan and its beautiful shoreline, about 10 miles north of Chicago.
We enjoy a vibrant downtown adjacent to the Northwestern campus; cafes and teahouses, parks, bookstores, restaurants, and theaters are accessible on foot.
Staff easily commute to Chicago’s cultural and commercial centers, and the rest of the metro region, via CTA trains and buses, by METRA commuter rail, and by bicycle or car. The City of Evanston provides employees of Evanston businesses a significant monthly discount for city parking garages.
